BAE Systems is continuing to press its case as a major UAV developer with experience in understanding customer requirements. According to Martin Rowe-Wilcocks, Business development Executive, Military Autonomous Systems (Air), the work the company has been doing with the UK Royal Air Force’s UAV Battlelab is now bearing fruit with BAE able to show real output from the recent trials in Afghanistan. Local UAV developer Unmanned Systems Technology (UST) is in the process of negotiating with the Malaysian armed forces to supply the latter with its Aludra Mk1 tactical UAV (TUAV).
