Introduction

The Shephard Group has been selected to deliver the RAF Air Power Conference in 2009. This global event is an opportunity for air force leaders to gather in London and share their experiences of evolving strategies, capabilities and operations. Industry will be welcomed at the event to demonstrate how effective partnership can deliver beneficial outcomes for the military. The RAF is a world class and highly respected exponent of air power that operates globally with a variety of partners covering the spectrum of air power activities from high intensity war fighting to humanitarian relief operations. This event will examine the technology, training and thinking required to deliver on current operations and prepare for future ones. The conference will also seek to place air power in the wider defence environment and the comprehensive government approach. It will examine how to deliver air power within the joint battlespace.
