Hoffman Engineering Partners with Night Flight Concepts

July 20, 2009

Hoffman Engineering Corporation, Stamford CT. and Night Flight Concepts (NFC) Port St. Lucie Fl. are pleased to announce that they will partner when NVG Maintenance Technician training opportunities arise.

Hoffman, the world’s leading source for Night Vision Goggle (NVG) and Image Intensifier test equipment, often has a requirement to train clients in the use of the test equipment they furnish. The rapid growth in the use of NVG’s in civil flight applications has brought about the need for training in every aspect of this endeavor.

Hoffman and NFC believe that they are best positioned to provide full service support for all NVG flight operations. NFC was founded by experienced helicopter pilots, aircraft and NVG maintainers and has grown to become the most professional and qualified source for NVG training services in the industry.

For over twenty five years, Hoffman has been the leading technology base for the testing of image intensifier tubes and the optical systems in which they are used. Products such as the ANV-126A Digital Night Vision Device (NVD) Test Set and the ANV-20/20 Infinity Focus System are used worldwide to monitor the performance of Aviator NVG’s. Many Defence establishments around the world will not allow pilots to fly until they set their goggle focus using the ANV-20/20.

The importance of proper maintenance on Aviator NVG’s has long been recognized by Military entities worldwide. The Hoffman ANV-126A is able to provide the user with the ability to measure every useful parameter of the NVG on a regular basis. Only the ANV-126A will provide Gain and Gain Ratios in addition to Resolution, Spot Defects, and Current Draw while allowing the user to check for Collimation and Diopter settings.

As the night vision industry continues to grow, especially in the law enforcement and emergency services community, there is a growing desire and need for experienced and qualified NVG maintenance services. “By combining Hoffman’s innovative test equipment and NFC’s exceptional training services, customers have cost-saving options to begin their own NVG Maintenance Program,” said Adam Aldous, President of Night Flight Concepts. “We are extremely happy to form this partnership with Hoffman Engineering and be able to provide the tools and knowledge as the only choice for NVG operators in a complete package.”
