Pinnacle Airlines July performance data released

Pinnacle Airlines Corporation has released capacity and operational results for its Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. subsidiary for July 2009.

The airline recorded 436,575,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 0.6% decrease from July 2008's 439,189,000. Capacity, in available seat miles (ASMs) dropped by 2.9% to 533,472,000 from last July's 549,332,000.

This resulted in a 1.9 percentage point load factor increase to 81.8% from 79.9% for the respective months. Passengers carried during July 2009 totalled 1,055,590, compared with 925,164 in July last year, a 14.1% increase.

Block hours flown remained steady with only a 0.5% rise to 37,371 from 37,188, while departures were up 9.3% to 24,872 from 22,753.

Pinnacle reports its total passengers, RPMs, and load factor each month, even though fluctuations do not affect revenues received under capacity purchase agreements with Delta Air Lines, its mainline partner.
