AeroSimulators selected as provider of flight simulation solution by Air Methods Corporation
February 09, 2010
AeroSimulators USA announced today that Air Methods Corporation, the world’s largest air ambulance operator, has entered into an agreement with AeroSimulators to purchase three flight training devices.
A fixed-base EC135 device will be located at Air Methods corporate headquarters in Colorado. Two mobile AS350 B2 devices will allow Air Methods to serve its field operations around the country. Use of the devices will, amongst other things, help to reduce the amount of in-aircraft training time, thus improving operational readiness.
Piet De Backer, Chairman of AeroSimulators stated, “We are extremely proud to be selected by Air Methods as a partner in their commitment to the use of simulation technologies to enhance their training programs. Knowing that considerable effort and due diligence was performed by Air Methods in evaluating many of the flight simulation manufacturers, we are especially excited that AeroSimulators has been chosen as their vendor for the initial provision of in-house simulation devices.
We believe it is our product quality and our ability to design and build to Air Methods custom specifications, while maintaining reasonable capital investment costs, which are the biggest factors in the award of this contract. Our recent reorganization within the United States has, we believe, positioned us to effectively leverage our capabilities and unique resources.”
